- The Modified X-Sole Design provides versatile turf interaction, cutting through thick rough or gliding smoothly over tight fairways. It also lowers the leading edge to help you get the ball in the air more efficiently.
- The slightly larger head shape raises the moment of nertia (MOI) and is designed to appeal to a wider range of players. The slightly deeper face increases the effective hitting area and provides confidence at address.
- Strategically positioned internal weighting provides a high MOI for superior stability on miss-hits and also optimizes ball flight trajectories from the fairway or the tee.
- VFT Technology maximizes ball speed and perimeter weighting for more distance and forgiveness.
- S2H2 increases discretionary weight by removing it from the hosel and repositioning it in the perimeter of the clubhead.

Technology Story: The X Hot 3-wood is an extension of Callaway Golf’s X Fairway Woods line, incorporated with a larger head volume and shallow face for increased forgiveness and confidence. Its 455 Carpenter Steel face is lighter and stronger than a traditional stainless steel face, providing increased ball speed for unmatched distance from any other 3-wood Callaway Golf produces. The face also allows for the larger head volume, which helps Callaway Golf engineers raise the Moment of Inertia for greater forgiveness and more stability.
455 Carpenter Steel Face: The lighter and stronger steel provides increased ball speed off the clubface for unmatched distance from a Callaway Golf 3-wood. It also enables Callaway Golf engineers to increase the clubhead volume, which allows for a higher Moment of Inertia, greater forgiveness and stability and higher confidence at address.
X-Sole™ Design: The clubhead rests on two distinct areas of the sole, eliminating the tendency of a head to rock back and forth and helping ensure that shots start on-line.
Long Fujikura Banzai shaft: The 44-inch Fujikura Banzai shaft provides great feel and exceptional control to complement the X Hot head, providing increased clubhead speed for longer shots.
Patented Callaway Golf Technologies: S2H2® increases discretionary weight by removing it from the hosel and repositioning it in the perimeter of the clubhead; and Tru-Bore® provides improved feel and clubhead control.
